We’re looking for someone to join our award winning Bristol agency to be a part of the development team!

What will I be doing?

As a Front-End Developer at Bray Leino Yucca you will be involved in the project process from start to finish helping shape the projects we ship; you will work alongside our current Lead Front-End Developer, sometimes autonomously, to scope out work and quote on projects before we go to pitch. On the odd occasion you’ll be developing with new technologies to create prototypes for pitches. You’ll be tasked with writing detailed front-end technical specs that are used in our statements of work and every now and then you may have to get in front of a client, this could be to discuss new ideas or to explain rationale.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll be working on a split of new and legacy projects. You’ll be tasked with maintaining large legacy websites that are vanilla JS and CSS but also developing new projects using JavaScript libraries (inc jQuery and potentially React), SASS and Liquid. Our projects are componentised so will be developing initially into a UI pattern library and then tying this into Razor templates alongside our .NET team.

What will I need?

• A strong understanding of semantic HTML / HTML5.
• Advanced knowledge of SASS and what it can do (to a programmatic level).
• Extensive knowledge in JavaScript and JS Libraries.

And in return…

Aside from our benefits package, we also offer the ability to utilize the skills above to push innovation within our team and with our clients.  You will get R&D time for personal development in areas outside of your day to day job.
